VP, Data and Technology, APAC
Vincent Niou is Vice President, Data and Technology, APAC at Essence, a global data and measurement-driven media agency that is part of GroupM. Based out of Singapore, he heads the agency’s data and technology practice across the region.
Joining Essence in 2011, Vincent has risen through the ranks, holding positions in disciplines including data strategy, programmatic, media investment and media planning, out of the agency’s New York, San Francisco, Shanghai and Singapore offices. Previously, he worked at DAE and Starcom in digital media planning and buying roles.
With his diverse experience, Vincent has a deep understanding of clients’ business requirements and challenges. He is especially passionate about the role of data and technology in enabling brands to earn relevant and valuable connections with audiences. He believes that the uniqueness and diversity of the APAC region create opportunities to build the next wave of advanced data and technology-driven solutions for marketers.
In 2019, Vincent was selected to Campaign Asia-Pacific’s 40 under 40 list and named Ad Tech Rising Star, APAC at ExchangeWire’s The Wires APAC Awards. Outside of work, he is a fitness enthusiast, an avid American sports fan and a mixed martial arts buff. In addition, he can often be found with his nose buried in comic books.
