About the role

You will be joining our Finance team as a Sr. Finance Executive. Your primary role will be to facilitate the day to day Account Receivable and Payable for Essence. This will include billing of clients and ensuring the receipt of funds are in line with the agreed payment terms. You will also be helping to manage our day-to-day cash flow and maintaining strong relationships with our business partners. You will be working closely with Essence teams in Singapore, Japan, Korea and GroupM Korea finance team. This role will report to the Client Finance Director.

Some of the things we’d like you to do:

  • Two Year Contract
  • Maintaining an up-to-date billing system

  • Collects client approved POs on a timely basis from the media teams. Agree with the media teams on the timing and amount to be invoiced against each PO, in line with agreed terms for each client

  • Accurately raise, generate and send out client invoices in a timely manner

  • Allocate and reconcile all received payments

  • Maintain accounts receivable customer files and records

  • Carry out billing, collections and reporting activities according to specified deadlines

  • Generate and review age analysis report

  • Oversee the media reconciliation process and have media plans reconciled in Olive

  • Research and resolve any receipts discrepancies

  • Entering and coding invoices and expenses

  • Facilitating the internal authorization of invoices

  • Review all staff expenses to ensure that all claims are properly approved, supported with receipts and in line with the company’s claim policies

  • Being the central point of contact internally and for external parties for accounts queries

  • Being responsible for the resolution of these accounts queries

  • Creating payment runs

  • Bank reconciliations

  • Supporting financial reporting and SOX documentation

  • Ad-hoc duties

A bit about yourself:

  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in a Finance position

  • Ideally, has media/client budget reconciliation experience within the media industry

  • Good numeracy and experience with the Microsoft office suite

  • Responsible, diligent and attentive to detail; follows through on queries and issues

  • Strong communicator, comfortable in dealing with both internal and external parties, clients and suppliers

  • Recognizes and resolves problems quickly and effectively

  • SAP system experience preferable

  • Experience managing multiple offices desired

  • Fluency in English and Japanese, knowledge of the Korean language will be a huge plus
