WPP today announced the creation of Blinks Essence, a partnership in Brazil between Blinks, a digital media agency, and Essence, a global leader in data-driven marketing and innovation. Both part of WPP, the two agencies will operate together in Brazil under the leadership of Denise Porto Hruby.

The Blinks Essence partnership is rooted in operational synergy and agency cultures based on innovation and marketing effectiveness. The alignment between the two companies will also present the Brazilian market with new tools and cutting-edge technology.

“Blinks and Essence share the same DNA," said Porto Hruby. "We are both digitally native, data-driven companies that believe in using technology to make the digital marketing ecosystem more transparent and efficient. Our customers will continue receiving the same excellent Blinks service, enhanced with a more robust technology layer thanks to Essence's tool portfolio.”

Kyoko Matsushita, Global CEO of Essence, said: “We are thrilled to have Blinks become part of the Essence network. Our companies both believe in using data and technology to help our clients make bold decisions, find new ways to grow, and create value for consumers with relevant, trustworthy advertising.”

Essence's arrival in Brazil supports WPP’s wider strategy, as it offers the best global solutions to its clients. The Blinks Essence partnership is the result of a continuous process of innovation and improvement of services offered by WPP in Brazil.

Stefano Zunino, Brazil Country Manager for WPP, said: "Combining Essence's global scale and its proprietary tools and technology with Blinks’ decade-long history of digital media leadership in Brazil will create a truly unique offering for our current and prospective clients.”

Brands who will benefit from the tools introduced by the Blinks Essence partnership include Google, FCA and PepsiCo. The partnership between Blinks and Essence will also open up new opportunities for the nearly 200 Blinks employees who will gain access to best-in-class training and development programs, platforms, and solutions that are used globally by Essence. There will be no changes in client services, relationships with partners or staffing.
