Essence has been named Agency of the Year by the judges in the 2020 Campaign Tech Awards.

Determined by the judges, Campaign's coveted Agency of the Year prize 'recognizes the agency best able to demonstrate how its collective creativity and deep understanding of the power of new technologies has produced outstanding work for clients.'

In addition to being named Agency of the Year, Essence was awarded Best Breakthrough Technology as Part of a Campaign, Best Use of AI, and Best Use of Creative Personalisation for work completed in partnership with Google.

In naming Essence Agency of the Year, Campaign reported 'It was the agency’s cut above in terms of sophistication that set it apart from a very strong field. And, as one judge noted, the package of its award entries showed "great, consistent application of the agency's thinking."' The campaigns were hailed as 'truly outstanding Google projects that, crucially, are showing the industry how digital advertising may look in a world where privacy controls are stronger and data security is higher.'

This is the seventh time Essence has been named Agency of the Year or Best in Show since 2019, after receiving similar recognition from AdExchanger, Ad Age, Campaign US, Adweek, MediaPost, and I-COM.
