Head of Experience, APAC
In her role as Head of Experience for Essence in APAC, Uma Reade brings together a team of creatives, technologists, and content and creative strategists to help brands use data science and machine learning to deliver more relevant, meaningful and effective advertising.
With over 16 years of industry experience, Uma previously served as Integrated Creative Director on Asus at JWT/Mirum, across digital strategy and marketing, user experience, content development and social strategy. Prior to that, she was a consulting Integrated Creative Director at R/GA where she led the Google and YouTube business across the region.
Uma was the first senior creative hire at The Secret Little Agency. As Creative Director, she partnered with the Chief Creative Officer on the agency’s turnkey brands including the Singapore Economic Development Board and Volkswagen. A self-professed user experience and design junkie, she has also worked with the Citi Innovation Lab in Singapore as a user experience consultant.
Passionate about animal welfare, Uma partnered with the Animal Concerns Research and Education Society (ACRES) for a world-first three-year research project in 2015 to gain insights into the habits and lifespan of wild dolphins around Singapore.
Previously served at JWT/Mirum and R/GA where she led creative for Google and YouTube business across APAC.
Has worked with the Singapore Economic Development Board and Volkswagen and served as a UX consultant for the Citi Innovation Lab in Singapore.
Partnered with the Animal Concerns Research and Education Society (ACRES) to gain insights into the habits and lifespan of wild dolphins around Singapore.
