EVP, Client Partner Rich Phelan is a media professional with more than two decades of experience in the retail sector driving sales, ROI and building relationships for Fortune 500 companies. At Essence, Rich leads the agency's relationship with Target, where he helpps to manage the retail giant's media strategy, planning, and investment.
Prior to joining Essence, Rich served as Managing Director of OMD's retail practice and worked as AVP, Media for TJX and in leadership roles at multiple agencies, including MediaVest, Mindshare, and Universal McCann.
Based in New York, Rich studied Marketing at University of Massachusetts at Amherst's Isenberg School of Management.
