Essence names Anthony Reeves President, Global Client Partner
Essence has announced Anthony Reeves will be joining the agency as President, Global Client Partner, working with clients to further integrate the agency’s practice areas of data, analytics, media strategy and creative. He will lead engagement across a small portfolio of Essence’s global clients.
Reeves comes to Essence after serving as Managing Partner at Courageous, consulting with Amazon, J&J, Hasbro and other Fortune 200 companies across strategy, brand, creative and platform activation. A proven leader who has worked across creative, technology, commerce and media, Anthony’s background makes him uniquely suited to work with Essence clients to drive the next-level business growth.

Reeves’ is known in the industry for working as a creative holding senior roles across agencies and brands. Prior to his recent consulting work, Reeves was named Chief Creative Officer at Wunderman Thompson Seattle, overseeing creative work for clients including Microsoft, T-Mobile, Amazon and L'Oreal. During his tenure there, he was also named chief strategy officer for Wunderman Thompson Commerce, the agency’s eCommerce consultancy.
Prior to that, he was Global Director, Creative at Amazon Media Group, the retail giant’s in-house agency. While there, he consulted CMOs, agencies and CEOs on delivering optimal customer experiences across all media channels and platforms.
Earlier in his career he worked in creative leadership roles at agencies like Publicis Groupe's Moxie, where he was Chief Creative Officer in North America, overseeing creative and developing the agency's user-experience practice. He also served in senior creative roles at Interpublic Group of Cos.’ FCB, overseeing creative for clients like Western Union, Netflix, AT&T, Chipotle, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Hyatt and Carnival Cruise Lines.
